When I moved from Albany to NYC in 1996, I was a mess - haunted by my inability to help the scene, by my failure to even make a living up there. I went to the diner with my friend Colleen one night and had a great long talk, getting a needed dose of perspective. But there's more - I had a headache and Colleen, a massage therapist, made it go away by pinching the bridge of my nose and the space between my thumb and forefinger. When I got home, this song was waiting for me.
